Posted by admin / Under Vehicle History Report

Rep. Anthony Weiner's Nissan Pathfinder is unregistered, DMV says BY Alison Gendar DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU Monday, June 13th 2011, 4:00 AM Lying about sexting apparently isn't Rep. Anthony Weiner's only gray area. When Weiner (D-Queens, Brooklyn) was photographed by the Daily News fleeing the Capitol in his Nissan Pathfinder, it was clear the July 2007 registration sticker in his window was expired, and there was no inspection sticker to be seen. Weiner, through a staffer, said the 1988 Nissan Pathfinder was registered in New York State. Not so, said the state Department of Motor Vehicles. The New York license...

Proposed bill would allow firearms in locked vehicles at work(MT)
Posted by admin / Under Vehicle History Report
A Republican lawmaker wants to make it legal to have a firearm in a locked vehicle at work. Rep. Wendy Warburton says her bill is about Second Amendment rights and protecting oneself. Her bill allows for an employee to carry a gun to work and leave it in their locked car in the employer's parking lot. Opponents of the bill say the employer's parking lot is private property and the government can't dictate rules there. Supporters say the car is the employee's private property. "They impose a restriction on employees way beyond the workplace. They impose restrictions all the way...

Running out of juice: Bay Area electric car dealerships close [San Fran]
Posted by admin / Under Vehicle History Report
Marc Korchin thought he had found his mission in life: to benefit the environment and save his fellow Bay Area residents money by selling zero-emission all-electric cars. Two years later, after burning through his life savings, he was forced to close his Berkeley dealership. And Korchin is not alone. The Bay Area's independent electric car dealerships are in perilous shape, even as electric cars are being hailed as the next big thing by major auto manufacturers. A number of dealerships, including Zap of Concord, Davis Electric Cars in Davis and EcoMotors in Santa Rosa, appear to have closed within the...
